Easter & Eggs

Good Morning Everyone!  I hope all is good with you.

I missed out on last week's post due to a surgery that I am recovering nicely from, so I'm happy to be back today to bring you my make for this week's Craft Heaven Shop inspiration.  This week's theme is Easter and Eggs.

This cutie pie is Little Miss Tilda.  Isn't she just too stinkum cute in her little bunny costume?!?  She is from the 2015 Sakura collection.  I've colored her up with Copic Markers and Distress Inks.

This is my 2nd time working with Maja design paper and I'm totally loving it!  I know it's been around a while and most everyone knows this but it isn't widely available in the states and so I'm a little behind the band wagon.  Awesome stuff though, especially if you love the vintage/shabby look like I do.

As most of you already know, I usually make my own flowers and that's mainly because I have no idea where to even start when buying them.  Where and what to buy, which colors will I need for a card that I haven't even thought of yet...  YIKES!  It's always been an overwhelming thought.  Putting these together was actually quite easy since several of them were bundled together.  I added the brown Lollipop Fringe flowers which I die cut using a Cheery Lynn die and Maja paper and used a DooHickeys die for the leaves..

I cut the egg tag by hand using a template that I printed from the computer.  I've hand stitched all around the edges of the tag and the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Much more information can be found below including the challenges I would like to participate in and a supply list.  Have a wonderful day!
Hugs & Kisses,
Laura C.

Gorgeous Blooms

Good Day Everyone and Welcome Back!

I am so sorry for this being a couple days late.  There has been a bit of hullabaloo around here.  Had to have my gallbladder taken out yesterday and right now I'm coming down off of my pain meds enough to quick get this posted cuz (WHEEE!), those things are wild!

I have for you today, my DT make for Craft Heaven Shop Inspiration Blog and this week we are featuring Gorgeous Blooms.

This little beauty is Divine Tilda from the Magnolia 2014 Waiting For Christmas collection.  Isn't she just so sweet?  I have colored her with Copics and Distress Ink.

I've used several Magnolia DooHickey's Dies including Tilda Tag, the swirl from the Swirl and Leaf set and the Chicken Wire is from the latest DooHickeys Club release, #8.  My flowers and leaves were made from Sizzix Dies, Tattered Flower Garland and Garden Greens.  For the frame I used the Spellbinders Floral Ovals and large Classic Oval.

Thank You for stopping by today.  I just hope I'm making sense. LOL!  Some more of the products I've used are listed below.  I hope you have a wonderful day and better tomorrows.

Big Hugs & Kisses,
Laura C.

Spring Has Sprung

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Good Day Everyone!  Guess what?  Guess what?  Guess what?

I have been chosen to be a Design Team Member for Craft Heaven!  Happy Dance!  (Just picture Snoopy dancing, that's me).  I am so honored to be a part of such an amazingly talented team.  (Still dancing).  Do be sure and check out Tina's gorgeous store HERE and her awesome challenge blog HERE where there is lots of gorgeousness to behold.  And so, without further ado, I have for you today, my first contribution to the design team.

This little darling is Tilda Picking Carrot and she is filling up her crate with some help from her adorable little friend.

Tilda is colored with Copic Markers and the dies are colored with Distress Inks.  You can find them all listed below.

I've used quite a few DooHickeys dies from several of the club volumes.  The little cloud is from #4, the Carrots and Crate are from #6, the outside shape of the card is from #7 and the most adorable little bunny ever is from #8.  Sakura Background is that lovly little web of flowers on the left and Tilda's Tag is on the right.

I just love the color orange.  I really should use it more often.  Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek and for your lovely comments, I can't tell you what they mean to me.

BIG HUGS & KISSES!

Easter Greetings

Good Morning Everyone!  Today I bring you my DT project for MicheleRDesigns.  I made this simple Easter card to highlight her fabulous digital paper designs and the pretty colors.

I quite simply traced a plastic Easter egg onto six different paper designs that i shrank to 3.25 x 3.25 inches each to fit onto one 8.5 x 11 inch piece of cardstock and then cut them out by hand.  I punched and/or die cut the grass, butterflies and stitched frame.  See below for all supplies used.

You can check out these gorgeous papers I used by clicking on the images.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Please become a follower and leave a comment as I've noticed that a lot of really talented people have stopped making cards and blogging because they don't feel it's worth the time and effort.  A little encouragement really does go a long way.

HUGS & KISSES!

Laura C.
